Skills, knowledge, techniques, behaviours
For this module, I have chosen to make my magazine be focused on the 3D animation and visualization software, Blender. I have chosen to make my magazine around this software as it is a skill that I am well adapt at, as well as a skill that I want to expand my current knowledge on. In each page of the magazine, I demonstrate Blender’s capabilities as a 3D animation and visualisation software by making complex 3D art within the pages of the magazine, and it’s style depends on what that topic is being discussed on that particular page.

Research methods (Primary and secondary)
For my primary research, I have made a survey using Microsoft forms to enable my co-students to give me feedback on the progress of the magazine production. I have asked them questions asking them what they liked about the pages and what they would like to be changed or improved (as they were still a work in progress).
For my secondary research, I have been looking for example videos that I can use in my magazine to demonstrate the power of Blender’s geometry node system. This video would be the blender tutorial made by Joey Carlino that I have made a QR code for in the double page spread of the magazine.

Own performance during creative process
Over the duration of this module, I believe that the production process of the magazine itself felt smooth and successful, I feel that I have learnt a lot more about Blender during the production process as well. When it comes to the academic work surrounding the magazine, I feel that I have done an adequate enough amount of work, but I feel that I have been focusing so much on the production of the magazine itself that I have missed some of the academic work required to complete within this module.

Meeting the brief – process
For the process for this module, I started with creating mood boards using already existing magazines that focus on 3D design that help me with finding and constructing a look and style for the pages on my magazine. After a month of pre-production for my magazine, I began designing the 3D art for my magazine in Blender, emphasising the creative power that this software can give its users in its 3D environment. I started with the cover page first, then when I has comfortable with moving on, I started working on the contents page, then after I completed most of the work on the cover and contents pages, I began working on the double page spread. After 3 months of production on the magazine, I have completed the construction of the cover page, contents page, and the double page spread. As this was done in a 3D animation software, I made an animation that demonstrates the look of the magazine in a 3D space, making the magazine feel more authentic.

Strengths / weaknesses / improvements
Throughout this module, I have found out more about my skills as well as aspects of myself that I need to improve on.
My strengths have been found in my knowledge with the 3D visualisation and animation software, Blender. This module has made me practice my current skills with Blender, and research knowledge about other aspects of Blender such as the geometry node system. This has caused me to further improve my knowledge of Blender’s various systems.
My weaknesses have been found in my knowledge in magazine development. I do not specialize in magazine development, and it shows in the layout and design in the magazine.

Conclusion
This module has taught me a lot more about Blender and how its various systems work, but it has taught me that I am not well adept as a magazine designer. Overall, I can conclude that this module was an experience that taught me more about my strengths and weaknesses as a creative professional.
